We have hit a milestone in the construction at Moseley Road Baths! We are very excited to announce that Galliford Try have been appointed as our main contractor, whose job it will be to deliver all phase 1 building works between now and 2027.
The project has spent the last few months working on preparing for the main works to take place such as replacing steel beams in the basement. This is required to ensure that the building can take the weight of the new changes.
Now that Galliford Try are working with us on the project, scaffolding will be erected, and the old boilers will be replaced with reliable air source heat pumps (hopefully no more unexpected cold-water swims!).
In the background, the project team are working hard on fundraising, to close the funding gap for phase 2. They have also been working with a muralist to design and install a mural on the hoarding on the outside of the buildings. The hoarding is there to ensure that everyone is safely kept away from the machinery, tools and dust!
