Gala Pool space (Balsall Heath’s Living Room)

Step-free access to The Living Room will be through the rear of the building straight into the Gala Pool, accessed via a slip road off Edward Road.

You can also access The Living Room via our front entrance.

Dimensions:

• Rear fire exit door: 81.5 cm width by 200cm  height
• Portable Ramp (pictured): 70cm internal width 183cm length  **Please note we are waiting on a new ramp as ours has sustained slight damage**
• Maximum load capacity: 275 kgs (43 stone)
• Accessible toilet door: 90cm width by 205cm height
• From front of toilet bowl to furthest wall: 147 cm

Swimming Pool – Pool 2

Step-free and wheelchair access to the swimming pool through the rear of the building straight into the pool hall, accessed via a slip road off Edward Road.

Dimensions:

• Rear fire exit double blue doors: 2 meter width by 2.08 meter height
• Disabled toilet door: 2.29 meter height by 1.48 meter width
• From front of toilet bowl to furthest wall: 1.25 meters
• From toilet door to poolside: 3.5 meters

Slipper Baths

We currently do not have step-free access to the Slipper Baths. There is no support bar on the bath.

As part of our phase 1 capital works, we will be building ramp access at the front of our building.

The Manager’s Flat

Our manager’s flat is upstairs, we currently have no provision to make this step-free.
There is no accessible toilet upstairs.

It is in our longer-term capital works plan to have lift access to different floors of the building.
