Mace – Shaping a Legacy for Moseley Road Baths
Moseley Road Baths has been a cherished community asset for generations, offering a place to swim and connect for many communities. During previous building works on-site, we have managed to keep our doors open to the public. This time, the work ahead will be more extensive and intrusive, with multiple parts of the building undergoing simultaneous transformations. Our decision to close during this time will allow us to fully redefine the building, ensuring its future for generations to come.
One of the organisations helping us realise this ambitious project is Mace Consult Limited, an esteemed partner providing construction project management services for Moseley Road Baths during phase 1 of the capital works programme. The first phase of works will bring new uses to ancillary areas of the building and address important areas of decay. This will include the remodelling of the library, including a new connection to the Baths and new mezzanine floor. Within Moseley Road Baths, there will be a focus on the installation of a small café in the Men’s second-class slipper baths and creation of a new gym within the first-floor laundry room.

Most recently, Mace supported a project to relocate the beloved 10-meter-tall mechanical bull, named Ozzy, to Birmingham New Street station, a successful public campaign to save a Birmingham 2022 Commonwealth Games icon from the scrap heap.
