A Cinema of Poetry – Flatpack Festival & the GAP Arts Project

A programme of spoken word films, curated by young people at the GAP Arts Project. Alongside these carefully selected shorts will be an opportunity for open mic performances to hear from some local Birmingham poetry talent. Food provided by Change Kitchen, an award-winning event caterer and a thriving social enterprise based in Balsall Heath.

Retrofit Reimagined

Retrofit Balsall Heath is a community-led neighborhood project in the Balsall Heath area of Birmingham, UK. The project aims to ‘retrofit’ Victorian terraced houses in this lower-income inner-city neighborhood to improve energy efficiency, reduce heating bills, and address environmental concerns.

Who’s better than who? A couple of so-called friends act out a medley of familiar children’s stories from their story box to help them understand how to get on with each other. A bird-like storyteller guides them through it all ….with lots of audience interaction
