For the past six months, Moseley Road Baths has been working with a paid steering group of six 18-30 year old’s, our young curators. They have designed and developed an innovative new podcast called ‘Bathcasts’ where someone connected to the historic baths gets interviewed within one of its bathtubs.
Our comedic host, Rachel Baker, has interviewed six people about their lives, community building, and the temperature of the bath water they are sat in. Alongside these interviews Moseley Road Baths commissioned original poetry and music for each episode from 10 Birmingham artists.
This bold and brilliantly innovative podcast encourages you to listen to it in the bath at home, immersing yourself in water at the same time as our interviewees.
Come and celebrate the launch of ‘Bathcasts’ on Saturday 18th of November from 5-7pm at The Gap Arts Project in Balsall Heath. We will listen to the amazing commissions from our ten musicians and poets, watch a video about the creation of Bathcasts, eat good food, and have fun with the many bath-based activities.
