Volunteer Week!

This week is Volunteer Week and time to celebrate our volunteers who have been essential in helping us to keep MRB open for swimming.

Over the last year MRB has recruited and trained 19 reception volunteers, 14 of whom volunteer regularly. We have trained 19 lifeguards, 14 female and 5 male and 5 swim teachers. Operationally, our volunteers have contributed an average of 140 hours a month of reception cover and 160 hours a month lifeguard cover, with an annual total of over 3500 hours!

All of our volunteers have the opportunity for further development and training, including Customer Services, Swim Teaching and Aqua aerobics, in return for taking on extra responsibilities.

Moseley Road Baths CIO was also selected as a finalist in the Community Leisure UK Awards 2019 for the Outstanding Volunteer category.

We are extremely grateful for and proud of the huge difference our volunteers have made to keep our pool open!
