Escape and #LoveSwimming

Swim England launched the next wave of activity in their #LoveSwimming campaign on Monday 8 October.  They aim to show adults, in particular women, that swimming is a great way to escape the stresses of busy life and improve mental wellbeing.

Mental health is becoming an increasingly talked about issue, with 1 in 4 British adults experiencing a mental health problem in any one year and 80% of mental illness is related to anxiety and depression (Mind).  “Escape” reflects the extremes of fast-paced modern life and the impact it can have on your mental health, in stark comparison to the unique environment offered by swimming.
