Drop in sessions at Moseley Road Baths

Drop in - Our Community and Wellbeing program at Moseley Road Baths

Historically the Baths were always more than a swimming pool, often hosting a range of non-swimming activities for the community in Balsall Heath.  The Moseley Road Baths Alive project will continue that legacy by facilitating community led and wellbeing activities on site, online and in the community.

Through this project, we aim to create a vibrant and sustainable community asset and heritage venue offering a range of health, fitness, wellbeing and community facilities inclusive of swimming.

Project outcomes for local people by Sept 2023 include:

  • People have improved physical and emotional wellbeing (500 people over 3 years)
  • People experience decreased social isolation (500 people over 3 years)
  • Increased skills, confidence and employability for local residents (30 people over 3 years)
  • People have improved perceptions of community and place (1000 people over 3 years)

To achieve our vision, this project falls into three separate strands of activity, ‘wellbeing’, ‘community’ and ‘pop-up cultural’.  Activities will be trialled, monitored and evaluated on a 3 to 6 monthly rotation. We set things going with OnDemand activties as we were all still in COVID lockdown!.
