Women’s Lifeguarding Course

Our first women’s lifeguarding course starts on 22nd September and there may still be two places left.

If you’d like to gain new skills, meet new people and volunteer to help a local and worthwhile cause, email us at keepswimming@moseleyroadbaths.org.uk and we can let you know what will be involved.

If you don’t think you can commit this time, we have funding to run another women’s course soon!

  1. Hello-
I would love to be a lifeguard-
Could you let me know of some of the criteria- unfortunately I can’t commit to this Saturday as I’m attending a wedding.

    1. Hi Jaya, we’ll be running another women’s lifeguarding course soon as this one is now full. To take part on the course you need to be over 16 and able to pass a fitness test first which involves being able to swim 50 metres in under 1 minute, being able to swim continuously for 200 metres (I think!), being able to tread water for 30 seconds and being able to dive down to pick up an object from the floor of the pool at the deep end. If you’re interested in the course, keep an eye on our blog for details of the next one or email us at keepswimming@moseleyroadbaths.org.uk!
