Thank you for your interest in being part of our very first team of volunteers at Moseley Road Baths. Our remarkable pool has been in continuous operation since the early 1900s. We’re very proud of MRB and delighted to share it with anyone who feels the same.
As of saturday 7th April, we now operating! We have a good team of volunteers in place but are looking for a few more to ensure we have good supportive coverage over the week.
The volunteer roles we are looking for are as follows – please click on the links to view job descriptions.
– Volunteer Lifeguards – funded training course coming soon!
We will offer you the training you need for the role, travel expenses and management support. We will also ask you to sign a volunteer agreement setting out our commitments to you and what we hope that you will do in return.
Training for most roles can be carried out once your application is accepted at a suitable time. For those wanting to be lifeguards or swimming teachers but not yet qualified, training can be arranged but do expect this to take some weeks to book and complete – the next courses are running in July and August and we particularly welcome applications from women to help us guarantee female lifeguards for our women only sessions. Maintenance volunteers will be contacted a bit later on. Arrangements for training will be confirmed to successful volunteer candidates.
If you are interested in one or more of these roles, please download and complete this application form and an equalities monitoring form, and send them to firstname.lastname@example.org as soon as possible, or contact us for more information.
Once we have received your application form we will send you further information and arrange to call you for a further chat. Please note that the application form asks for two references. This is increasingly seen as good practice for volunteering positions such as these.
We look forward to receiving your application form and to working with you to keep Moseley Road Baths open to the public!
