Mayors Community Day
30 June

Pool Party

After the success of our free community pool party for the 2018 Mayor’s Community Weekend, we are very pleased to announce that we’ve been successfully funded again! The Mayor’s Community Weekend will take place on the weekend of Saturday 29th and Sunday 30th June 2019, with events taking place across the West Midlands. This is an initiative from the West Midlands Combined Authority with the aim of celebrating diversity, bringing people together, and increasing social interaction within communities. Events, including ours, will be on the Mayor’s Community Weekend website by the start of June if you want to get involved.

Our event will take place on the afternoon of Sunday 30th June. This year MRB CIO has partnered with Friends of Moseley Road Baths to make sure it’s our best pool party ever!

The Friends will be running historic tours of the building from 2pm until 5.30pm (last tour around 4.30pm).

Alongside this we will also be hosting two completely free family pool parties:

  • 3-4pm is open to everyone
  • 4.15-5.15pm is a pool party specifically for women, girls and boys under 8

Both will operate on a first come first served basis until we reach the pool capacity of 35. We will also have refreshments and cakes so even if you don’t fancy a swim you should come and say hi and learn more about this history of Moseley Road Baths.
